Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens – Cape Town, South Africa
We decided to make one final stop before leaving Cape Town by visiting the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens – one of the best in the world! With epic views of Table Mountain in the background, this location boasts one of the largest presentations of indigenous plants and flowers sprawling over 1300 acres. Since we were visiting in springtime, I was hoping our floral timing was optimal.
We arrived shortly after 0930 to a fairly empty parking lot and after purchasing our tickets, we were immediately happy with our decision to visit. The landscape is stunning and it is easy to spend all day here – we had two hours. So we prioritized the areas I recalled reading about with the first priority of the Treetop Canopy.

After the short walk across the Treetop Canopy, we wandered along the trails in no particular order, observing the different plants, flowers, and birds. Our two hours came and went very fast but as I hoped, springtime at the Botanical Gardens was gorgeous.
